While visiting friends in Charleston, S.C., last spring, I toured the Charleston Historic District when inspiration bloomed. Gorgeous clusters of wisteria blossoms in the most vibrant hues of lavender, white and blue were hanging everywhere. I was already mesmerized by the stunning beauty and charm of my surroundings when that hypnotic fragrance hit me, and I just stopped in my tracks.
